A Message to Our Patients

We would like to thank all of you for being so supportive and understanding in this very difficult time, and to remind you that we remain here for you throughout the uncertainty of the coming weeks / months. Our staff have been amazing, adapting to what has been an ever changing situation as we adopt a multitude of new practices and procedures to safely manage your healthcare needs.

All four of our sites, Tower House, Brockway, Backwell and Long Ashton remain open. Phone lines are open for the normal hours of 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday. We will also be remaining open for urgent health problems on Good Friday and Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

Our buildings may look quiet, but we have been incredibly busy behind the scenes. To keep everyone safe, wherever appropriate to safely do so we are conducting consultations at a distance, mainly over the telephone and if needed by a video link direct to your mobile phone using a snazzy application we have been allowed to trial. This also allows some of our clinical staff who are in isolation for various reasons to continue to work for us from home.

If you telephone requiring an appointment, in the first instance you will be offered a telephone consultation, which we will only progress to a face to face appointment in the practice when its absolutely necessary to do so. Patients who are attending our surgeries are kept as far apart from each other as possible, both in terms of physical distance and time slots. For any patients who are particularily vulnerable, or if they have any symptoms which may potentially be Covid-19 related, we have special procedures in place to bring them into the practice completely away from anyone other than those members of our staff who have to be with them.

During this period as we all strive to socially distance ourselves and reduce the spread of the virus please do not present yourself for any reason at one of the surgeries without an appointment. This allows us to go through all of our screening processes with you before you attend.

Whilst the management of this Coronavirus pandemic is our main concern currently, we are aware that other health problems continue - please do make contact if you have important or urgent issues that are not Coronavirus related and we will do our utmost to help you.

We are working closely with the pharmacies and volunteer groups to ensure, as best we are able, that any disruption to the ordering and availability of you medications is kept to an absolute minimum.

Take care everyone
